Summers nearly over and around this time of the year when your sunshine filled holidays have passed and BBQ's are fading out, we start to feel a little down. I get terrible S.A.D and even though I love the different seasons of the year, I can't help but feel stroppy. So, I decided to get dressed up and spend the day in the country.
Although the A/W 13 looks are concentrated more on darker colours, leather trims and influences of punk, I will always keep the softer looks close to my heart when the weather starts cooling down. There's nothing more cosy than chunky knit sweaters over the top of a floaty dress, add the fedora for an androgynous nod. Nude heels give the illusion of longer legs and kitten heels add a flirty nod to the outfit.
I have been saying this for a while now, but this year I will get away to the Scottish highlands for an extended weekend in the snow, in a cosy cabin situated in the middle of the woods with a warm fire and a glass of wine. Talking about cold seasons now, I have a feeling I might even escape my inevitable feelings of gloom.
If any of you lovely readers know of a good weekend getaway in Scotland, please post it in the comments box below! I'd love to hear where you've been / what's good and what's not!
Lovely outfit and location
ReplyDeleteI love your jumper and your necklace is so cute! I recently spent a weekend at a lodge on Loch Ness and it was absolutely beautiful. I blogged about it here if you fancy a look! xx
