Leather is a key trend for A/W13 and has been paired with the elements of another key trend - punk. But leather doesn't have to be rough and tough so if your style is more feminine and girly, don't be put off by leather! You can still join in the fashion gang by wearing elements of the leather trend, or by picking skater skirts and dresses.

I bough this dress last year in H&M, but I have seen many similar styles on the high street (especially River Island). It's such a versatile style - you can wear it during the day with a shirt, ankle socks and boots, or a sweater over the top of the dress so it's just the skater style skirt that shows, or with a t-shirt and layered jewelry chains; wear it out with black opaque tights, chain necklaces and black heels to elongate the legs.
