A couple of months ago I was asked to be featured in a Top Picks article for the jewellery designer Elisha Francis, and I jumped at the opportunity as I love the designs and unique collections from Elisha (pssst, keep your eyes peeled for the feature, I'll post a link on my Twitter once it's live!). I was sent this gorgeous headdress which was one of my Top 6 picks, and it's so funny I got this item as this is a piece from her bridal collection and it's called "Lou" - it was only a couple of months ago that one of my best friends Lou got engaged to her lovely boyfriend! So there's a bit of a story for you, that was one of the reasons I picked the headdress other than it being absolutely gorgeous too. Pearls are such a timeless trend, and this will look so cute in both winter and summer seasons, of course I personally will not be wearing it to any weddings unless it goes with my bridesmaid dress in 2015, but I will be styling it with everyday wear.

Let's save this for future posts though, and talk about how this item can be worn for your special day. There is of course the simple boho look like the one I am wearing in the photos above: loose waves with a middle parting and the headdress placed across; or you could go for a classy up do like Audrey sports in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffanys and use the headdress as a very simple and timeless headband. I was even thinking that for the creative types, you could attach a tiny and cheeky veil! Whatever you do, it will look gorgeous because let's face it - most of the brides look beautiful on their wedding days.

Are any of my readers set to walk down the isle anytime soon? What head wear did you go for, if any at all?
