To me, it's all about getting the balance right. If you prefer to wear darker shades, the easiest way to inject some colour into your outfit is through accessories. In the next couple of posts I'll be showing you exactly how to do that with simple accessories.
In this outfit all I have done is added a printed colourful scarf to an otherwise block black outfit. I still would like it if it was one colour because the top is structured and unusual, plus I mixed in leather look leggings to add texture - but I have to say that with the bright and colourful scarf the outfit is more noticeable. I was extremely lucky with the weather last week, but to finish this outfit (as I don't think we can get away with short sleeves anymore) I'd just add a simple, leather jacket or a black mac.
What do you guys think about colour pops in A/W? Or would you rather mute the colour and embrace the dark?
I love a good scarf, they really do brighten up a plain outfit. Yours is amazing, so colourful xx

Personally for me, colors are always preferable over darker shades. I've gotten so immersed into colorful clothes that when I have a simple black or white looking clothing, I have no idea how to style it :D it's so weird!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this outfit of yours, the scarf is such a great way, as you said, to find the balance :P
Your scarf is so pretty, I love the sort of watercolour style print on it! Your watch is suuuper cool too!!
