Last Thursday I attended the latest AX Paris event at Proud Cabaret City and it was an evening to remember. AX Paris invited bloggers to check out the samples of their latest collection, get a first look at their new campaign video and enjoy a night of burlesque. This was my first AX Paris event and I was so excited to see the new collection as well as meet other bloggers, so I eagerly made my way to Proud Cabaret City for a promising night.

At the event, I met lots of lovely bloggers including Hannah from Dimples Diaries (who I'd like to thank for sending me the photos from the night, especially the one with me and the gorgeous Jade Thompson who was absolutely lovely to meet). After the meets, greets and fruity daiquiris we checked out the most fun attraction of any event: the photo booth! We got dressed up in silly hats and geek glasses to take some snapshots as keepsakes from the event. I love photo booths, everyone always has so much fun in them!
The new collection included party dresses in lace, sequins and metallic fabrics - my favourite was a red lace midi dress. It looked gorgeous and so classy, more like a designer product for a high street price! After viewing some of the collection on the rails which were displayed by the stage, we sat down to enjoy the burlesque show presented by Proud  Cabaret. I've never been to a burlesque show before so I was mega excited as I've always found it to be such a beautiful form of art and a classy act of seduction. We were introduced to Joe Morose who was our host for the night - he was a highly talented performer with a dirty, witty sense of humour and an incredibly powerful voice. I never thought I would be attracted to a man wrapped in a corset and a trace of lipstick, but everyone gets proven wrong in life.
The other performers included Slinky Sparkles who was a gorgeous 1920's inspired blonde burlesque dancer with delicate moves and a cheeky smile; Leah Debrincat who displayed an array of enchanting tattoos whilst she showcased her belly dancing talents with props like swords (I have to admit to developing a slight girl crush on Leah, she was incredible); Jolie Papillon brought energy into the club with influences from samba and striptease and finally Missy Macabre as the girl who likes to play with fire. The performers were all so talented and gorgeous, the girls bodies were inspiration enough to start working on my "bikini" body ready for the summer!
Halfway through the show, AX Paris arranged a catwalk show to show off the pieces from their A/W13 collection, announced by the gorgeous Jade Thompson. The models included some of the beautiful AX Paris girls and Amy Valentine who wore a sparkly green dress which was another stunning piece from the collection.

The evening was an absolute treat, it was great to see all the gorgeous dresses and I got to meet some of my favourite bloggers, as well as enjoy mini burgers and a range of cocktails. I've market Proud Cabaret as a venue to absolutely visit again as I really enjoyed the experience. AX Paris will be on my radar as I cannot wait for the pieces I saw to become available online, especially the red lace dress and the green sequin number.
I hope to catch up with all the wonderful people I met again soon, and I hope everyone who went enjoyed the evening!
