Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Review

Some of the more affordable high street makeup brands have been bringing out absolute gems over the last few months – or maybe they’ve been there all along and we just haven’t noticed? Whatever the case is, a couple of months ago I fell in love with Collections Lasting Performance Concealer (review of which you can read here) and recently I tried Seventeens Phwoar Paint Under Eye Concealer which is just awesome. It’s a rather thick concealer and it aimed specifically to cover the dark circles and shadows which are common for us hard workers or hardcore partyers - if you’re both, I salute you. I get them quite bad because I predominantly work with a computer and am on electronics most of the day and night, so for me a decent cover up is essential. I have tried some more expensive concealers from well known brands but they didn’t do much for me, and at a bargain £5.49 this bad boy is like Superman coming to save the day.
Because of the thick coverage, apply Phwoar Paint with a brush and build up the desired coverage. I find that after about an hour it does clump under my eye in that silly little line, but once I buff that in, I don’t tend to have any issues throughout the day. Although I’ve only had it a week or so, I can see this tub lasting quite a while because you really don’t need to apply a lot – it’s high coverage enough as it is!
I do prefer this bargain buy to some of the more expensive ones I’ve tried in the recent weeks which for me just proves that just because a beauty brand has a big name and reputation, it doesn’t make it the best. Phwoar Paint concealer is just over £5 and for me does everything I want it to do – winner!
PS sorry about my thumb print in the concealer image, I couldn’t resist giving it a go! J
