what i'm wearing: Dickens & Jones dress* // River Island shoes (old)
home items: IKEA trolley, plant and plant pot, container jars // various plates and bowls collected over the years

It's been nearly a month since me and Liam moved into our new home and we're slowly making the place look mega cute! Naturally, we started working on the kitchen and dining area first because the kitchen is the heart of the home - especially when there's yummy food on the go! I spotted the kitchen trolley in IKEA and we just had to have it! It makes any kitchen look mega cute, and if you're into colours you can easily sand it down and paint it. Do you guys wanna know what was the first thing we filled the cupboards with was? Sauce. Every sauce you can imagine, mainly chilli sauce. We have everything from mild to Naga chilli sauce - our proud collection. Get yo spice on!

The dress I'm wearing in this post was kindly sent to me by House of Fraser, and it belongs to their range of Dickens & Jones dresses. It's such a beautiful and most importantly comfortable dress and I absolutely love it! The best thing about this dress is that I don't think it needs a lot of accessorising - a pair of pretty stud earrings, or a classic and simple bracelet will do. I chose to contrast it with a pair of bling shoes - I bought them ages ago and haven't really worn them, but I think the print, pastel colour and a bit of shine works great with the dress.

I'm excited to carry on making our home pretty and cosy, which is is already! But there is always an excuse for buying more exciting home accessories, isn't there?
