One of my favourite things to cook at home is an easy home made pizza - especially when there are a few of us gathered for dinner. Once you know how to do make pizza at home, it's such a fun and quick process! I like to set up a little DIY pizza station where everyone can pick what toppings they'd like. I have taken the dough recipe from the Jamie Oliver website - it's quick, simple and just delicious!

What you'll need (makes 3 large pizzas):

For the dough:

500g white bread flour

Half a teaspoon fine sea salt

7g dried yeast sachet

Teaspoon of caster sugar

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

For the the paste:

Half a packet of passata

1 teaspoon tomato puree

1 garlic clove

A handful of fresh basil

For the topping:

Anything you'd like!

My favourites include mushrooms, olives, mozarella, ham and anchovies

To make the dough, mix the salt and flour in a bowl, and mix the olive oil, yeast, sugar and water in a separate bowl. Make a well with the flour mix and slowly tip in the yeast mix, folding the dough as you go along. Knead the dough mixture until it is stingy, roll into a ball which you then need to place back into a bowl dusted with flour. Cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise for about an hour

Whilst the dough is rising, mix you passata ingredients in a pan and cook on low heat for around 20 minutes - this gives all the ingredients to infuse and mix together, whilst making the paste slightly thicker.

Once your dough has risen, divide it into three equal balls and roll out into pizza bases. Cover the base with your homemade pizza paste and pile on the topping of your choice. Place in a preheated over at 220c and cook until the cheese has melted and your base looks golden.

I love to add a little bit of rocket, Parmesan and extra virgin olive oil on top of my pizzas and enjoy!
