The Language of Love with La Redoute

Bonjour mes chers lecteurs!
I was recently contacted by La Redoute who told me all about their new campaign, The Language of Love. The idea behind this campaign is to embrace not only the chic French style which the brand has to offer but to also pick up on another French trait: every day expression of love. I was very interested in this campaign as it pulled on my heartstrings - my mother always tells me that I just don't tell people how much they mean to me often or even enough. A minute 30% of people in Britain say 'I love you' on a daily basis, and a staggering 82% of people wish they could hear those words every day. I don't know whether it's the stubbornness, daily ignorance or just plain forgetfulness but I completely agree with my ma - I don't tell those few special people in my life how much I love them so this is the perfect opportunity for me to let them know just how much they mean to me:

My family: Mumma & Max
Ma, I stink at feelings. I don't hug you as often as I should, I don't tell you how amazing you are as often as I should because you are. You're an amazing woman who's led an amazing life - I can only ever hope that one day people will look at me and talk about me with the same admiration as they do about you. You're there for me day and night, you've put up with my crap for 24 years and I'm so thankful for everything you've done for me: from bailing me out at uni to sharing a bottle of wine on a Friday night. You're my family, my best friend and my inspiration. I love you.
Max, bro! We might not share our feelings publicly and insult each other at every opportunity but you're the best brother anyone could ask for - you're too clever for your age, you're supportive and just the best fun to be around. Thank you for telling me how everyone is wrong and I am right over some chicken wings in the local pub - I know who to go to when I need a good rant. I love you and I can't wait to hang out with you even more!

My sweetheart: Liam
You're my love, my soulmate, my future - you know I'm not a soppy sod but once in a while I just have to be. I've never met anyone like you - you're so beautiful inside and out, so kind, so funny, so intelligent, so romantic. I couldn't write my perfect man on paper before I met you and now you're everything that I could ever dream of. Thank you for all the times you've been there for me, for laughing at my temper tantrums when I can't find anything to wear, for all the memories we've created already like my favourite trip to Scotland of all time and for so much more to come. Words cannot express how much I love you and value you in my life, I want to forever curl up in your arms and watch crap TV whilst eating pizza and nachos and marshmallow fluff. Je t'aime mon amor .xo

My best friends: Louise, Mickey, Harriet & Claire
For all the times we laugh at each other, mock and tease each other and speak the harsh truth - you guys are a part of my small family. I value your presence in my life just like I would if I had four sisters. Each one of you is different but each one of you brings something special into my life, every day. I met you all at college and it's a great privilege to grow up with such talented, beautiful and passionate women. I'm so proud to call you my best friends and I'm so proud of each of your achievements whether it's finally hitting it big time in a harsh industry like modelling, or beginning your journey to becoming an amazing teacher, to getting engaged to the man of your dreams or getting back on your feet after a setback - all four of you are so special. I love you all!

This is my language of love. These messages are for the most important people in my life. I hope this post inspires you to call or even text the people special to you and tell them how much you love them. We could all benefit from a little French style in our life be it style, cuisine or attitude. For more inspiring messages, check out the La Redoute video "The Language of Love" below:
