what i'm wearing: H&M fake fur top // Topshop pencil skirt // Topshop sueded boots // Just Fab clutch* // boyfriends bow tie // Topshop jewellery
I have overheard some people talking about office Christmas parties, or work Christmas meals and I thought I'd style an outfit which I would wear to a work Christmas get together. I chose to mix some textures and fabrics which I associate with Christmas and that is some fake soft fur and some glitz and glamour which comes from the pencil skirt. My friend asked me the other day if velvet was 'in' - of course velvet is in especially around the holiday season! When I worked in high street stores, I always used to get excited about winter and Christmas when the velvet styles his our shelves - and this pencil skirt is not only velvet, but also glittery! Win.
When going to a work party, I think it's always best to keep a stylish but formal look - a pencil skirt is the perfect way to do it. It's one of my favourite wardrobe staples as there's so many ways in which a pencil skirt can be styled. You could also try and style this outfit with a plain T-shirt and a chunky necklace, or a long sleeved lace top with a statement cocktail ring.

I'm in love with this skirt, you look amazing. I've never actually worn a pencil skirt, I'm too scared of my bum clingyness!

Thank you lovely! Ah no - have you tried printed skirts? They don't cling to the figure as much! I love my floral print one, it's so busy that you can't really see any body shape! xo
DeleteSuch an adorable outfit, especially that pencil skirt. Love, love, love!
