NYE is all about a little bit of drama when it comes to the outfit department - I wanted an elegant dress that would make a statement when I walk into the room and I think this Boohoo number does exactly that! You may need a buddy who can be on cleavage watch throughout the night, but it will be so worth it!
I saw a dress very similar to this on one of my favourite bloggers Instagrams, and when I found this version at Boohoo.com I just had to have it - plus it was during a free delivery event so who would pass up that opportunity?! The dress is such a gorgeous shape that you need minimal accessories to compliment it - it's actually very easy to style! The only thing I would point out with a dress like this, is that after Christmas and all that binge eating we ALL do, I felt a little bit like a sausage getting into the dress... Control pants anyone?!

I hope you all have an amazing night tonight, and party with your favourite people - remember, the only drama that is necessary on NYE is in the form of a gorgeous dress!

Lots of love, and we will be catching up in 2016! ;) xx

what i'm wearing: dress*, boots* & bag* all George at ASDA // hat Major Wear // watch* Jord

We often forget about our favourite dresses when Winter comes around, simply because not many people think about recycling their lightweight dresses - but there are many ways in which you can save money, look stylish AND get more wear out of your favourite frock.

George at ASDA have challenged me to pick a dress from one of their collections, and style it up for Winter. I love this lightweight, paisley print dress with a Victoriana style neckline - it has a flirty, skater style skirt which I love! However, the dress is pretty lightweight and will need either layering, or some cosy accessories to go with it for a Winter inspired look. You could layer it with a furry or shearling gillet but I have a feeling a lot of people will be doing that! So, I decided to warm up the two places where heat escapes - a hat to keep my head warm, and some cosy boots to keep my feet snug. Boots are an absolute must have in my wardrobe because they look awesome with dresses AND jeans (the two items I tend to wear the most), they keep your feet warm and cosy, and they're comfortable if the heel is sensible.

Because we've had a very mild Winter so far, I have been lucky enough to wear this gorgeous print dress without a coat or jacket, but once the frost hits I will be pairing this outfit with a shearling coat or a vintage look faux fur coat!

A favourite boutique of mine is Never Fully Dressed - it is filled with individual style gems which you won't find anywhere else, and everything is so stylish and classy! I often visit the website when I want something different and affordable, with most items priced around the £50 mark.

When I first saw this dress, I fell in love - it was so pretty and delicate, and the colour was just something else! I flaked out of buying it as it was coming up to Christmas, but during my trip to the Clothes Show in Birmingham I stumbled upon a Never Fully Dressed pop up store where I tried on this dress and bought it instantly! Ooooops... I was trying to be good!

This dress is actually from the SS16 range - the mink pink colour is gorgeous for the season. But this was also a contender for NYE party because I think it looks great with some shiny accessories, and is super cosy and comfortable! I dug out an old light pink feather bag from River Island which added an extra texture to the outfit, and elongated legs with muted gold sparkling heels.

what i'm wearing: white feather trim mini dress Topshop (similar here) // glitter heels New Look // clutch* JustFab // watch* George at ASDA // ring Thomas Sabo // choker Accessorize

NYE is such a great opportunity to get dressed up in a pretty frock, high heels and sparkling jewellery - but with so many gorgeous options, it's so hard to pick which dress to wear!
I wore this little white number last NYE and I see that this year shops have really picked up on the feather hem trend as they are once again everywhere! The dress I am wearing is from Topshop, but you can also pick one up from Never Fully Dressed (a favourite boutique of mine) or Lipstick Boutique! The styles are virtually the same.
I paired the white feather hem dress with some sparkly heels which I bought during a discount event at New Look for about £12! Bargain! And to carry on the sparkle theme, I used simplistic accessories with shiny diamond detail to sparkle like a star on the night.

I don't usually wear mini dresses and dress up very much as I don't tend to go out, but for NYE we're having a few close friends and family over for some food and drink, and I want to take this opportunity to wear a pretty dress and some high heels. But what dress will be my winner for this year?? Keep an eye out on upcoming posts to find out!

Winter 2015 Lookbook: Christmas Day Jumper

Merry Christmas everyone!! Today I wanted to share with you my Christmas Day outfit featuring a jumper which I found in New Look and just cannot get enough of! I love the bell detail which jingles anytime I move - just hearing bells makes everything so festive! Unless you're trying to sneak somewhere, in which case don't wear this jumper!! Although not one for slogans, I love the writing on this - especially as the 'BLING' is written out in gold sequins. I think I have slightly turned into a magpie as I'm loving everything that shines and sparkles these days...

I paired my Christmas jumper with a pair of super skinny jeans from Topshop, and glittery heels from New Look for some added shine - as if I needed any more but hey ho, it's Christmas so nothing is too much in my books! Because the outfit was so 'blingy', there weren't many accessories I wanted to add - in this case, less was definitely more when it came to jewellery. So all I sported was my favourite ring from Thomas Sabo which I bought for myself a couple of years ago and I just LOVE it!

I hope all of you had a fantastic Christmas - I spend the morning with Liam, and the my family came over to enjoy one beast of a roast dinner! It's safe to say the rest of the day was spent digesting and resting on the couch watching Christmas movies.

what i'm wearing: jacket Topshop // hat from the Clothes Show // jeans Joni from Topshop // over the knee boots Primark // scarf from Harry Potter Studios // bag* George at ASDA // watch* Jord

I was absolutely heart broken when my mum invited me to come along with her for a day at the Harry Potter Studios, and I couldn't go due to work commitments - I am a bit of a closet geek when it comes to Harry Potter. Got to admit, I was a little late to the craze, but I have much love for the movies and the books - there's just something so special about the story of the boy who lived...
Even thought I missed out on the trip, I was over the moon when my mum brought me back a Gryffindor scarf which I have been majorly lusting after!! I am head over heels in love with my geeky memorabilia scarf and wear it most days - proudly displaying my affection for JK Rowlings creation.

I love getting cosy and comfortable during Winter and we have been very 'lucky' here in the South of England - the weather has been mild. I'm kind of jealous of all the snow though - I would love to have seen a white Christmas this year but I just don't think it will happen... Instead we're faced with rain and wind! But whatever the weather, who cares because Christmas is only 3 days away and I cannot wait!!

December Lush Haul

Lush December haul, beauty bloggers, FashionFake

A few weeks ago I popped into Lush at Waterloo Station as I was waiting for my train – the store was filled with festive goodies which sparkled and smelt absolutely beautiful! Christmas is the time for pamper - with some extra time off, and all that work slaving over the turkey in the kitchen we are all in need of a relaxing bath. It just so happens I love my baths with a Lush product!
I couldn’t walk away without picking up some Christmas treats – here is what I bought:

Lush December haul, beauty bloggers, FashionFake

The Magic of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar: This is perhaps my favourite bath wand ever – it looks incredible, so pretty and festive I don’t really even want to use it!! It’s a star shaped bubble bar which is placed on a cinnamon stick, covered in glitter and sparkles and finished with a bell and bow. AMAZING RIGHT??!! I instantly fell in love with the festive spiced scent too – the bar packs a punch with cinnamon leaf and Fair Trade Organic clove, and a sweetness of almonds.
To ‘activate’ this gorgeous product, just swish it around your warm bath and you should start glittery bubbles forming around where you swished! The perfect Christmas eve treat.

Yog Nog Bath Bomb: Yog nog is a sweet scented bath bomb that has spicy clove bud oil which stimulates the senses, soya milk powder and organic shea butted which comfort your skin, and cinder toffee which smells incredible. I love Yog Nog bath bomb - although it does colour your bath a little yellow so be warned!

So White Bath Bomb: Although this bath bomb may look plain and simple, it's the scent which made me throw it in my basket. Sweet and refreshing apple encrusts a rosy centre filled with rose and bergamot oil - and to top this off neroli oil and orange flower provide a little zing to lift your festive spirits!

Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar: I have become such a magpie in the recent couple of months – anything that shines and sparkles, I want it. So when I saw this glitter donned bath bomb – I just had to have it! It’s in the shape of a little pumpkin and smells sweetly spiced and festive. Being a bubble bar, this product needs to be activated under running water so as you’re filling you bath, just stick the bubble bar under the warm water and watch your bath transform into a teeny tiny lake full of bubbles and glitter!

Cinders Bath Bomb: Cinders was (was being key term as it pretty quickly disappeared out of my bath cupboard and into the bath water!). It has cinnamon leaf oil which is so yummy and festive, and it is also scented with fruit punch to kick start your senses.

Harvey's Doggy Christmas Wishlist Ft Lead The Walk

Lead The Walk Christmas Wishlist, FashionFake, lifestyle bloggers, Christmas gift guide for dogs
I am so excited to share with you Harveys wishlist post for Christmas with Lead The Walk, an online store for pampered pooches which sell gorgeous luxury clothes and accessories.
Harvey gets really involved in Christmas – he knows that some of the wrapped presents are for him, he loves opening pressies (or more like making me open them for him and watches in excitement), and he loves the atmosphere on the day. He has a roast dinner (doggy friendly of course!) and then lots of cuddles and snuggles throughout the day and an active walk in the evening to tire him out for bed.
Lead The Walk have an awesome selection of cute doggy accessories for pooches of any size – which is why I am so in love with the brand. Most of the time nice collars, jumpers and other lux accessories are made for small dogs – but what about the bigger pups?! Harvey is a medium sized dog and I always struggle to get him cutesy, elegant items – because most companies think that big dogs all need thick leather in brown and black…

There were so many amazing items on Lead The Walk, me and Harvey spent ages looking at what he would like for Christmas and compiled this list, which is full of cute and exciting items suitable for small and large doggies!
We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the range of beautiful collars which range from classic leather designs to patterned fabric - perfect to suit every dogs personality. Harvey's favourite is the Indigo Dyed Rag Rug Collar by Ike and Stella - it is a logo embossed tan leather collar with a removable blue sleeve made from Indian rag rug! We love it because each collar is 100% hand made n LA and for every collar sold, a $1 goes towards rehoming and welfare of rescue pups in the Bahamas! If we could, we would rehome them all and have cosy snuggles in bed...
We also love the aztec print collar from See Scout Sleep - these collars are hand made in Louisiana using hemp webbing and nylon. The best thing about these collars is that if you have a muddy pooch, you can either hand wash them, or machine wash them if you don't mind a distressed finish!
To go with your new collar, you can pick up one of the fabulous leads - our favourite is the Found My Animal adjustable rope lead in navy - it's so rustic yet stylish! The leads are handcrafted in Brooklyn, NY for adopted animals and their people (I have a lot of time for adopted animals - instead of buying a cute little puppy who will have queues of admirers, I will always adopt a dog from Dogs Trust. Harvey comes from Dogs Trust in Newbury!) the leads are made with marine-grade rope and are able to withstand hundreds of pounds of pull - so you know it will never snap, not even with a little monster on the other end.
Something else that has caught our eye and has been very popular with our doggy pals is the bobble hat - yes, a cute little bobble hat to keep your furry friends head warm and cosy!
Pick up a jumper to go with your wooly bobble hat - sizes actually go up to an XL which is great because the larger doggles can join in the stylish fun! We love the Milk and Pepper Wool Sweater which has cable knit detail and looks like a luxury rustic piece, and the Ware of the Dog Wool Bobble Knit Sweater which has the most adorable knitted bobbles all around it!

If you're on the hunt for presents for dogs, then Lead The Walk is your destination. I am over the moon to have discovered these guys, and I cannot wait to treat Harvey to some gorgeous gear!

LighterLife Fast 5:2 Diet Review Diary Post - Week Five

LighterLife Fast 5:2 Diet review, lifestyle bloggers, FashionFake
LighterLife Fast 5:2 Diet review, lifestyle bloggers, FashionFake

I am back to report to you guys how week 5 of my LighterLife Fast Challenge is going! It’s been a super busy couple of weeks which is why I didn’t post last week but I’m back and on track. One thing that did drop off from my daily routine is the food diary. Although it was a great idea and really made me stop and think about what I eat and how often I snack, with a busy schedule it is really not something I could keep up with. And to be honest, I have noticed that since I stopped writing down what I was eating, I have snacked more – because you’re not as aware of how much or how often you are consuming food.

I also have to admit that doing this diet around Christmas time is just ridiculous – although I still have two fast days a week, what I eat at all the Christmas parties and dinners is stodgy, rich food that almost counteracts all the good work I am doing. I have already planned to carry on with this diet in January (the famous detox month!!) but actually eating super healthy throughout the week as well as having my fasting days.

I love the shakes from the LighterLife Fast 5:2 range – they are super handy for breakfast as you can just shake and travel! They are also really filling so will easily take you up to lunchtime when you can have a 5:2 meal.

What I have learnt from LighterLife Fast is that a 5:2 diet is almost a lifestyle change, rather than a crash diet that you do for a month and then get to binge all over again. It’s all about eating better, more healthy and less in portions – which is what my problem is. I love food and indulge in portions which are definitely too big for me. And I also love pizza and burgers so you know…. That doesn’t help either!!

Exercise is so important too – for weight loss and for general moods. I found that sometimes on my fasting days my moods turn. Because food is such a comforting element to me, if I can’t indulge in my cravings I get really stroppy – but I can control that by going for a run, a dog walk or even just jumping around and being active for 30 minutes. I love yoga, for me it is a calming and relaxing form of exercise which strengthens your body without being too harsh. Yoga is something I am taking up again in the New Year with regular meditation and yoga sessions.

I purposely haven’t weighed myself this week as next week is my final LighterLife Fast #GetLPDReady Challenge week and I am looking forward to seeing results!

what i'm wearing: maxi kimono dress ASOS // shoes New Look // chocker and earrings Accessorize // watch* George at ASDA // bag* JustFab

Every year I look forward to my beaus Christmas ball – a night of glitz and glamour and a chance to catch up with his work colleagues and their partners. The ball is a formal affair – all the men get dressed in tuxes, and the ladies get their fabulous floor length gowns out to impress (more likely one another).

For the last couple of years I donned myself in sequins – it’s Christmas after all – and bought two floor length gowns that simply dazzled! I wanted to try a different style this year and I was also on quite a tight budget so I turned to my fashion saviour – ASOS. I always go to ASOS when I need a gorgeous piece with a price tag that won’t jeopardise my Christmas budget – especially for dresses, which they have in abundance!

I stumbled on this blood red maxi dress with kimono sleeves and a nipped in waist. I thought the colour was pretty festive – red is after all a Christmas favourite! I loved the kimono sleeves which contrasted nicely to the figure hugging skirt – although control pants were very much needed to look somewhat slinky!! The dress was comfortable to dance around in all night – soft fabric and a slit at the back of the dress allowed for all sorts of embarrassing dance moves!

I accessorised the dress with a gorgeous diamanté choker, which was simple and elegant, and chandelier earrings that to me are a must with a fancy frock! Because the necklace was so dainty, it allowed me to wear bigger earrings and a ring with a cute shiny diamond (don’t get too excited guys, it was on my right hand!!).

The Christmas ball itself was so much fun – it was great to meet more of Liam’s colleagues and make new friends, we enjoyed a tasty roast dinner, drank way too much wine and danced to cheesy pop songs until 3am. Safe to say I was out of action the whole of the following day!
