what i'm wearing: embellished bodycon dress * Lace and Beads at House of Fraser // shoes River Island // bag River Island // watch* George at ASDA

House of Fraser is one of my most favourite companies because they have such a huge variety of brands under one roof, which means there is something for everyone. I fell in love with this sleeveless embellished bodycon dress from Lace and Beads when I saw it - immediately my mind was filled with special occasions like garden parties, my birthday and glam dinners out where I would love to wear this dress to.

In this particular outfit, I styled it for a fun summer evening out with pastel pinks as the colour of the dress is a gorgeous pale mint colour with white sequins. The dress is a statement itself so usually I would wear it with nude heels and a classic watch with a clutch bag, however I wanted to inject a little girly spark into the look so I opted for chunky statement heels (so comfortable, they will be your best friend all night) and a feathery bag which I feel is perfect for an event like a girls night out. Oh by the way, I don't actually photoshop my images so you will be able to see that I got horrifically sunburnt the other day and my arms are lobster red - WEAR SUNSCREEN, seriously.

I love the subtle sparkle of the dress - although it's covered in sequins, it is classy and unlike a lot of other sequin dresses isn't tacky at all. You could smarten the dress up with a white quarter sleeve length fitted blazer for a summer night outfit.

  1. The dress is spectacular, but I'm more drawn to that fluffy bag! Omg, it's so pretty, I need it! ^_^ Lovely styling as always my dear, I enjoy your posts always! ^^
