We have all raved about subscription boxes, which have become HUGE over the past 2-3 years: from beauty to pet accessories, there is a subscription box for everything – including delicious goodies brought straight to your door.
Degustabox is a monthly food subscription box which contains 9-14 foodie items ranging from vitamin drinks to fruit snack packs, and even ready meals. The July box is my first box to review and I was surprised to see just how big it was – and it contained a lot of delicious goodies!
Blackcurrant drink from Beautie: This product wasn't in the box description leaflet, and I wonder if this was an extra product this month? Anyway, it was delicious and contains lots of goodness from added vitamin C and B which makes it perfect for people like me who lack in iron, or are anaemic. The drink comes in a handy tube which you can have on the go - and has the consistency of a very smooth and liquidised jelly!
Fru Snax: These packets of dried fruit and yogurt contain less than 50 calories per pack so they're ideal for munching on during the day when hunger strikes. Especially if you're craving something sweet and want to combat it whilst still being 'good'.
Tasty Little Numbers ready meals: I am not a huge fan of microwave meals - as you can tell from my blog, I love to cook at home from ingredients I have sourced. So I do tend to stay away from any microwave and ready made meals, however these guys look delicious! Chicken Tikka Masala and Chilli Con Cane are meals which I love so I'm really looking forward to trying out these Tasty Little Numbers to see how they compare. Sometimes busy days at work make you just want to shove something in the mic and crash out on the sofa, so a healthy option of a ready made meal is ideal.
Say Yes To No Sour Cream & Onion toasted bread chips: These guys pride themselves on saying no to artificial flavouring and additives, and also photoshopping products and marketing dishonesty. The bread chips themselves are delicious - eat them either as a snack, or you can incorporate into a meal like baked salmon with a bread chip crumb crust!
Taking The Pea - Smoked Ham: This is such an amazing treat – the dried peas are so tasty and crunchy! I find the peas are a perfect snack for when you’re feeling a little peckish. These English grown peas provide more protein than crisps and less fat than nuts which is great.
Little Miracles Organic Tea blends: Little Miracles is this months Db discovery - a brand which is loved by the team at Degustabox but which you may not have discovered yet! I love Little Miracles tea blends, they're so handy and tasty to have on the go and contain less than 90 calories per bottle, no artificial colours, sweeteners or flavourings.
Newton's appl fizzics: a blend of apple juice and sparkling water, this drink is 40% less sugar than regular apple juice and contains no additional sugar/preservatives or artificial ingredients. Perfect served over ice on a hot day, OR you can make mocktails by adding mango or raspberry puree!
Overall I think Degustabox is an excellent food subscription
box because it is affordable (at £12.99 per box, including delivery), it contains a little bit of everything including
snacks, drinks and even lunchtime ready meals which you can try out to discover
new favourite brands. What’s even better is that you can utilise the products
in your box to either last you a week or two in the office as snacks, or add
them to your dinnertime meals: pork chops with an onion breadcrumb crust
anyone? Or Lambrini cocktails?
What do you think of the Degustabox? Is this something you would want to try?

Damn you for making me hungry again! Somehow I always end up craving food when I visit your blogsie :D
ReplyDeleteThe box looks super! Would love to try the Chilli Con Carne! I am very hyped about cosmetic boxes, but not sure which one to choose, there are so so many! *_*
Hehe that's the plan :) You will never believe what happened to the Chilli - I took it to work to try and I was so excited. In the excitement, I dropped the chilli ALL OVER THE FLOOR. But, it smelt delicious.
DeleteIn terms of cosmetic boxes, I use Glossybox and am quite happy with them but I would like to try some other brands to see how they match up!
