The Three Cups has been a favourite dinner spot for me and one of my best friends Claire for years - because they have a lovely cosy atmosphere and delicious food. Set in a small countryside town of Stockbridge in Hampshire, the pub boasts a consistently busy atmosphere throughout the seasons, a lovely seasonal menu with a variety of vegetarian, meat and fish dishes - and excellent service. Every time we've eaten there or just enjoyed a drink, we've always felt like the staff were attentive and friendly.
Claire and I visited The Three Cups again on one of our girly dinner dates and I decided to finally whip the camera out to take some snaps and review this pub. First of all, let me start with the bread. They serve you homemade complimentary bread whilst you wait for you food and it is possibly my favourite part because the bread is so delicious. It comes in a cute wooden box filled with butter, salt and oils - it's simply something you just have to try for yourself.
As for main, I had The Three Cups Burger which I have had so many times and remember it always being delicious and HUGE! The portion is very big, so be prepared to tackle it with all your might. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare and the chef did a fab job. This burger comes with a caramelised onion topping, chunky chips, onion rings and salad but it's a lot more tasty than your average pub burger. Honestly, give it a go if you're hungry and a fan of burgers.
I would highly recommend The Three Cups to anyone in the area for a nice, chilled out meal followed by drinks in a cosy atmosphere. And you'll probably catch me there too!
I love how your starter looks, but garlic ice cream?! Crazy stuff.

ReplyDeleteThe bread was everything - I swear they could make so much money if it was on the menu! Haha :)
