Honey has been a staple in beauty and skincare since early civilisation, Ancient Egyptians to be exact. With healing and nourishing properties, this golden syrup makes a huge difference to your skin if involved in your routine. I love honey based beauty products because I just love the scent and the idea of using something so sweet and indulgent - I just really like honey! Not to mention all of the benefits honey gives to your skin: moisturising, anti-bacterial properties, anti-inflammatory, a whole range of vitamins and minerals, and it's a powerful antioxidant.

I have been testing out the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey face mask for a couple of weeks and I have my verdict - gentle, nourishing and quick face mask which really helps bring back to life dry and blemished skin. It is actually recommended by Antipodes specifically for blemished skin which is great as sometimes having blemishes skin makes me wary of what I put on my face not to irritate the blemishes even more.
The mask is vanilla and mandarin scented which smells delicious and lifts your mood.

I apply the mask after cleansing my face with a scrub, and leave on for 15 minutes. Then I gently rinse off the mask with warm water and carry on my routine with oils and moisturisers (my favourite moisturisers are the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Cream for day, and Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream for bedtime). Treat yourself to this mask once a week, or anytime you need to calm down your blemishes, like before an event.
