For those of you who have followed my blog for a little while, you will notice that usually a statement gold chain is my accessory of choice, however this season I am opting for a more subtle, classic approach to jewellery.

I discovered Haati Chai and Amarilo jewellery and immediately fell in love with the minimalistic, yet statement approach to their pieces - classic styles that will never go out of fashion, and more importantly won't make your skin go green as this is quality pieces. It's a bug bear of mine, I totally get that high street jewellery is cheap because of the materials they use but I am completely put off buying any sort of jewellery from most well known high street names right now because I am just sick of coating them in a nail polish topcoat just to stop them from turning my neck, arm, and fingers green.

I think jewellery is a great investment piece, especially if you're buying classic styles - but even statement pieces can be worn throughout your life as they usually do come back around. Just look at the jewellery from Dynasty in the 80s - it's back on the shelves of boutique jewellery brands!
I'm going to be wearing my necklaces both casually and formally - I think they look great with a loose sweater or t-shirt, equally as good with an evening dress.
