Autumn is my favourite season for dressing up – I love layers, mixing textures and adding accessories to compliment my look. It is quite tricky to get your outfit right in Autumn because you’ll find mornings and evenings are incredibly cold, but it can get pretty warm during the day – especially if the sun is out. I usually spend most of September and October getting the mix just right! It’s really easy to ditch your style and wrap up in a massive coat (which I have done several times this season), but you can still keep warm and look super cute!

I want to introduce you to Minkie, which you may have already heard of from Topshop or ASOS Marketplace: Minkie is a fashion brand who started off stocking mainly as concessions in some of the best high street and online stores. I have come across them before in Topshop on Oxford Circus, but I was so excited to collaborate with the brand when they reached out to me a couple of weeks ago. I got a peek at their new collection which features gorgeous capes with fur trims (like the one I am wearing in this post), beautiful lace dresses and statement tops. I love how different the items are, even with a classic t-shirt Minkie manage to add something that will take it from ‘nada to Prada’.

I love the cape they kindly sent me to style because it makes me feel like a Nordic princess with the fur trim and baroque inspired fabric. I tucked it into an A-line tweed skirt for a true country bumpkin Autumn feel – loving how the fabrics work so well together and give dimension to the outfit. I think I am missing a felt trilby hat with a pheasant feather to complete this outfit – I’ve been looking at getting one! With a chic bag and some over the knee boots, this is the perfect Autumn look to take you wherever you need to go.
