I discovered Yours Truly Organics at the Bloggers Festival, and I was very excited to find out more about the brand following my research into organic and natural skincare products. Organic skincare shows to be better for your skin - just as with organic food, the ingredients are grown without any nasties like pesticides, additives or preservatives which can only be a positive.
Yours Truly Organics Fix Me! serum is designed for oily and combination skin, which is prone to blemishes and acne. I struggled with acne when I was a teen, and now still have blemished skin so I'm always on the lookout for products which can help skin clear up. Serums are a great product to add to your routine as they help moisturisers sink in and absorb all the goodness, as well as provide goodness of their own.
Fix Me! serum regulates the production of sebum which is a naturally occurring substance which is produced by sebaceous glands, and its purpose is to moisturise and protect skin. However, excess sebum can clogg up pores which leads to spots and blemishes. The serum also works to repair damaged areas of your skin, smoothing out imperfections.
Yours Truly Organics Fix Me! serum has three key ingredients:
- Gatuline® Skin-Repair BIO aids cell regeneration and targets preferentially damaged areas
- Avena Sativa: reduces inflammation
- REGU®-SEB: helps to control and reduce sebum production, especially in the T-zone area of the face
The serum also has oak kernel to help smooth and tighten your skin; sesame seed and saw palmetto to help reduce inflammation.
To me, the serum smells slightly citrus-y which is a really nice scent. Once I apply the serum, it immediately sinks into my skin and leaves it feeling firmer and smoother. I then apply moisturiser on top of the Fix Me! serum, and carry on with my daily routine. I have used the serum a couple of times when my skin has been really bad after a night out or crappy food day, and I woke up to find that my blemishes were not as red as the night before, and my skin was generally smoother.
I really like the idea of organic skincare products which target acne and blemishes particularly - a lot of the time I had to use skincare which really hurt and dried my skin out, and smelt like chemicals, to try and get rid of my acne.
Although I can't say if this will help your acne clear, it definitely helps on blemishes so is worth trying out and adding to your daily routine.
