Christmas 2015 Gift Guide - For Him
Boys can be such a pain to get presents for - most of them don't even know what they want, so what hope have we got?! Well, I have come to the rescue this year by sourcing a couple of really different but luxury items for the men in your life - from a cosy cutie to a rough and ready bearded type, I've got you covered.
I really enjoyed shopping for presents this year - I bought items for my brother and boyfriend, and the choice for gifts for men is huge! I like exploring new stores which hold products they may never have heard of - like speciality drinks!
Superdry Pom Pom Hat: Let's start with the wintery and cosy item - this cute and trendy Superdry pom pom beanie! Superdry is such a fantastic brand - reliable, durable, stylish and in demand. I have been waiting for Christmas to be over so I can do a major haul in Superdry and pick up some leggings/hoodies and dresses.
I really like this hat because it kind of reminds me of Home Alone but in 2015 - perfect gift for your younger brother, best guy friend or boyfriend!
Red Anchor Sandalwood Face & Beard Cleanser and Beard Oil*: For the bearded beauties, I have discovered Red Anchor beard care products which are perfect for looking after facial hair, and let's face it - beard are pretty hot when done right.
The Face & Beard Cleanser combines sandalwood oil, organic extracts of flame tree and seaweed for an effective cleanser which removes impurities from the skin and boosts natural barriers to ward off dirt. It also has natural anti-inflammatory properties which soothe skin, and the warm scent of sandalwood helps with de-stressing and relaxation. The thing that makes this cleanser so special is that is cleans the bear as well as keeping it tangle free - if you're parting with your beard and having a shave, the cleanser helps prepare your face by removing dirty and dead skin cells that can block the razor.
The all natural sandalwood beard oil combines black seed oil and organic Argan oil, which is high in Vitamin E and Omega 6 to help protect, strengthen and soothe. Perfect for daily use, I'm loving the idea of this natural, nourishing product.
Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Bourbon Whisky*: Woodford Reserve is triple distilled and aged to nine years for a full, rich flavour - perfect for a sophisticated, older man like your dad or uncle. Good whisky is perfect sipped on the rocks, or can be mixed into festive drinks like eggnog! Waitrose Cellar has a huge variety or drinks available, with luxury items at very good price points. I also love the packaging - classic and refined, like a well aged man.
Konifer Adirondack Army*: A luxury present for your beloved, wooden watches have dominated the accessories scene this year. Konifer has the perfect style for an adventurer and explorer: the Adirondack Army watch. It's unisex (grab a his and hers!! :P) and looks great on - with red allen screw detail to enhance masculine appearance. The strap is thick and chunky with an oversized square face. The watch itself is handmade, eco friendly, hypoallergenic and is made from sandalwood.
Rock Rose Gin from Dunnet Bay Distillers*: The flavourful and fresh gin has a twang of zest and berries, with a smooth finish. The gin gets its incredible flavour from a carefully selected bouquet of local Scottish and traditional botanicals, which have all been chosen to enhance the flavour. Gin is such a huge trend in drinks at the moment - it's everywhere. And it's easier than ever to find good quality gin now with so many distillers being featured online and in publications.
The Rock Rose Gin bottle is pretty special too - I love the ceramic bottle with handwritten dates of production on the back and a wax seal on the lid. I'm obsessed with this rustic gin from the Scottish highlands - it's got a warm kick, yet gentle flavour which tastes smooth and elegant.
Give this gift with a hessian and tartan bow wrapped around it and just hope that the person you gave this too, shares the Rock Rose gin experience.
