I recently introduced you to the boutique called Olive - I discovered the store on Boxing Day when I checked out their sale and may have purchased a few items which I just fell in love with. One of those items was this midi tartan dress - very country chic, in both pattern and fabric. I liked the loose flowing shape, the button up detail and the length - this is a dress which will look great with heels and sandals should I wear it on a chilly Spring night.
I actually found the dress great for layering - in this post, I chose to use accessories to add different textures and lift the outfit for Winter (although I would definitely advise some sort of jacket, I found out the hard way that it is just FREEZING when we were taking photos!). I really liked my trapper hat with this outfit - it's almost like a very feminine lumberjack look! I think Trapper hats can be difficult to wear with some outfits, but I'm trialling different looks and seeing which look the best with this cute and warm hat from Topshop as I love it!
An outfit like this is a good uniform for casual days, or even when you want to wrap up warm on your walk to work but layer down in the office - the trick for me this Winter is all about keeping your head, neck and feet warm because those are the points on my body which the cold really gets to. Give it a go - with toasty feet and windproof headgear, you can conquer the falling temperature!
