what i'm wearing: leather jacket River Island (old) // t-shirt Zara // skirt StyleHeist // shoes New Look // bag Chanel // wishbone necklace* Daisy Mae Jewellery // ring* Gemporia

Recently I was introduced to StyleHeist, an online fashion boutique that stocks items inspired by celebrities and the latest highstreet fashions. My friend Gemma entered us into an Instagram competition to win a £30 voucher to spend in store – and we won!! So excited as I actually don’t win a lot of things, so I was really excited, and after snooping on the website I was even more excited as lots of items caught my eye.

The skirt I’m wearing in this post is one of the items I bought with my voucher. Inspired (and pretty much identical) to a skirt which Beyonce wore in one of her ‘behind the scenes’ pictures, it just looked really cute, and I decided that I wanted something a little sexier and figure hugging. I’ve not been a huge fan of my figure for years, but now that I am losing some weight and toning up, I am beginning to get happier with it. Which ultimately makes me want to show it off - occasionally, when I feel brave.

I teamed my new skirt with a white casual t-shirt, and some caged heels from New Look for a casual evening look. I’m not 100% sure on how my figure looks in this outfit, but it’s something to work on.
Monochrome styles are timeless, and can hide a multitude of ‘sins’ if worn properly.

However one thing I realised after looking back at the pictures is that I think it’s finally time to hang up the leathers – my leather jacket ha gone past the point of being ‘cool’ frayed, and is now just simply falling apart. So I am on the hunt for a new leather jacket, possibly from All Saints, or ASOS… So if you seen a nice one, give me a shout on Twitter!
