Degustabox February Review

I get so excited when it gets to that time of the month - the date of my Degustabox delivery. I have been a fan of this monthly subscription food box for 6 months and I have officially fallen in love with it. I realised that the surprise snacks in the box make me so happy, and taste so delicious that I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that I love my Degustaboxes! I'm just so with the theme of love for February's box :)

If you aren't familiar with Degustabox, it's a monthly food box delivery service that you can subscribe to and each month you get a box full (or to be prices 9-12 items) of yummy surprises. The snacks vary from drinks, crisps, ingredients for meals and sweets from brands which you may know and also monthly discoveries. Sounds like something you want to try? Well I've got good news - you can get £6 off your first box with the code: BLDEG15

The drinks in Februarys box were a massive hit with me - juice, vitamin water and a couple of fizzy pops. I loved the J20 Spritz - they were so refreshing and not overly sweet, perfect with a handful of ice. The drinks would be perfect at a summer BBQ as an alternative to cocktails and Prosecco for those who stay away from booze!
Vit Hit Lean & Green vitamin water was yummy - I don't drink coffee (it gives me the worst heart palpitations, and makes me feel sick :( ) so when everyone else is energising with a caffeine hit I choose to indulge in green tea, or vitamin water and this is perfect for drinking on the go.
And finally British Carrot juice which reminds me of being a child! Carrot juice is really good for you, and can be used in smoothies if you're not a fan of straight up juice - it can be quite overpowering in taste sometimes.

Nutribix cereal is a wholegrain cereal with honey and coconut, which makes a delicious alternative to other plain wholegrain cereal chunks. I love my Nutribix with almond milk and a couple of blueberries or raspberries for a delicious and nutritious start to the day.

Ritz Crisp & Thin Salt & Vinegar takes my favourite crisp flavour to a whole different level - crunchy, delicious and luxurious snack which can be enjoyed with guests (or on your own!). Salt & vinegar is such a hit and miss flavour, some brands just get it totally wrong. But Ritz have got it spot on! Serve on a cheeseboard, or by themselves alongside a cup of black tea with lemon - trust me on this one.

When you have chips by the seaside, you practically have to have salt and vinegar on them. Especially if those chips are accompanied by delicious cod in batter! Sarsons malt vinegar has always been the vinegar of choice in our house, and I love this cute Chip Lovers edition of the bottle!

Sometimes there's just no time to prep a snack - these are the times I heavily rely on delicious, quick and remotely healthy snacks. Mr Kiplings Cranberry and Orange Oat slices are perfect to keep in your bag or in the cupboard - grab one when you're feeling peckish, or just fancy a sweet treat with a cuppa tea.

Crisps are my weakness when it comes to snacking - I can resist chocolate, ice cream, cakes... but savoury crisps are usually the snack that breaks my diet. I'm not a huge fan of sweet chilli crisps, but I really enjoyed The London Crisp Co version which was a little smokey with a slight kick. YUM.

Jelly always reminded me of bad, childrens parties - it's not really anything I would choose to buy or eat. Actually, jelly is really quite healthy - it's low in calories, contains gelatin which is good for your skin, immune and digestive systems and is really easy to eat. Especially for people who are experiencing problems with their teeth, or are on a liquid diet because they can't chew.
I have been living off Hartley's jelly for a couple of days when my tooth was waiting to be dealt with - I didn't want to eat anything hard that would agitate or get stuck in my tooth. And I really fell in love with jelly! Especially Fruit in Jelly which had real peach slices - yummy breakfast!

When I get a craving for chocolate, I need to have rich and delicious chocolate. It also happens that I love caramel, it's probably my favourite sweet - a mix of the two is simply heavenly! My favourite is the Dark Chocolate with Caramel from Divine - I enjoyed this bar after work, when I was having a little bit of a stressful week and needed some rich indulgence....

I loved last months Degustabox, and if you want to try a box for yourself then make sure you use the code BLDEG15 to get £6 off your first box!
