Okay, okay - I totally agree with the above quote: floral patterns are hardly a surprise to the fashion world during the S/S season. But how can we not indulge in beautiful flowers, bright colours or romantic pastel shades? I find it very difficult to avoid floral dresses during spring because they're so happy!
The skirt I am wearing in this post was actually hand sewn - by yours truly. Fresh out of college, I loved working with fashion designs so I bought a sewing machine and a lovely seamstress gave me a whole bag full of vintage patterns so I could try myself as a bit of a fashion designer. I made a couple of skirts, and started perfecting my technique - but soon enough studying/work took over and I gave up this hobby. But I think the skirt still looks great, even though it's less than perfect!
I teamed my floral skater skirt with a denim shirt and statement heels for a fun and flirty springtime look - replace the heels for sandals, and you've got yourself a festival outfit.

Love this outfit Lana, I have a few things I've made and it's the best feeling ever walking out the door wearing something you have made yourself! Lovely photos as usual. Hope to catch up really soon. Lots of Love xx
