I took a week off work during Easter holidays (including blogging, so if you haven't heard from me it's because I've been getting some well deserved rest) and enjoyed some wonderful days discovering really cool antique stores in my area. I think that shopping for antiques and upholstered furniture is like a bug - once you get it, you can't stop. Every piece is so different and there is something about having individual items in your home that makes it extra special. I'm thinking of writing a post about the studio shops in my area - there's so many wonderful discoveries to be made!
Heidi and I had a whole day of antique and vintage shopping, picking up pieces for our homes and also keeping an eye for stock for my soon-to-launch vintage shop, Dalry Rose (you can follow my story on Twitter and Instagram to see how Dalry Rose grows from the very beginning!).
The place where we took these photos is called Snoopers Bazaar and is located just outside of Andover. It's our first time snooping in the studio, and my wishlist has hit sky high - there are so many beautiful things!! Although expensive, the items are worth every penny. My favourite and number one on the wish list is the handmade oak dog bed (picture is at the bottom of the post).
what i'm wearing: camel coat Primark // dress Zara // shoes Converse // bag* George at ASDA // hat and sunglasses Primark
I wore comfy clothes for a day of snooping and searching - the weather was beautiful, but you never know when the cold will strike in Spring so I layered up in my camel coat and a beanie hat. Converse are my favourite shoes when I know I'll be out all day and these leather ones are great in the rain plus are easy to clean!
