1001 Remedies Magic Skin Repair Gel Review

1001 Remedies Magic Skin review, UK beauty blog

As seasons change, our skin will go through a transformation and not all of the changes will be pleasant. I don't know about you guys, but I hate having tight dry skin which is easily irritated - and that happens a lot on my arms when the air outside gets colder. I then get spotty skin which itches and brings me discomfort and actual irritation.
I have discovered 1001 Remedies a little while ago when I reviewed the Good Night Sleep Relaxing Balm - and I was so in love with the products because it genuinely worked for me (read my review here). So when an opportunity arose to try out the Magic Skin repair gel, I was really looking forward to it.

1001 Remedies have the most incredible smelling products - whilst I was testing out Magic Skin, I walked downstairs into our kitchen and Liam could actually smell the product on me from the living room! Magic Skin is made an Aloe Vera based gel that is made with 98.7% ingredients from natural origin, and its main purpose is to help soothe skin imperfections like spots, rashes, bruises and irritations.

Myrrh oil is an ingredient in the gel which has strong anti-inflamatory, antimicrobial and antifungal properties - this really helps when soothing skin rashes. Helichrysum essential oil is a healing oil and one of the most intense natural anti-bruise ingredient - I didn't even know you could get anything to help with bruising! I'm like a peach - there are at least 3 massive bruises on my body at any time, that's mainly thanks to my dog Harvey who launches himself on to my legs and leaves me with bruises the size of plum. Rock Rose oil is an antiseptic which has astringent properties and is one of the best oils used as acne treatment.

First of all, I love the smell of this gel. It's such a calming, comforting smell which I am happy to stick to me the whole day. I use this gel on my arms and it feels really nice and cool, with an immediate calming effect. I'm actually yet to test this on a bruise (there's never one when you need one!!) but I'm sure it won't be too long before I smack my knee into a table.
Magic Skin is a really pleasant product to use - it's not sticky, and I love the soft feeling it leaves on my arms after I massage it in. I think it's definitely a must have in your cosmetics cupboard as it helps with both dry winter skin and sunburnt summer skin because of its cooling and healing properties.
