A Tale Of 3 Styles

There are 3 styles which I absolutely love: city chic with high heels and statement accessories; classic Parisian which includes berets, forever accessories, and flirty shapes; and countryside cosy which is all about big sweaters, comfortable outfits, with a touch of fashion usually in the form of accessories or brand names. It sounds like a pretty eclectic mix, and one you would not think will go together... Right? But I want to show you that you can mix even the most unusual combinations together to create an outfit that looks great and is comfortable to wear!

When JD Williams contacted me about a collaboration, I looked through their winter collection and fell in love with so many of the pieces - but my favourite was a pink chunky mixed knit sweater, and the most comfortable  pointed toe ankle boots. Here's a tip: wear pointed toe shoes to make your legs appear longer = making you look taller. I love pointed toes - I think I chucked away all of my round toe shoes except for one pain which is so extra I just can't get rid of them!

Chunky sweaters are my key item when it comes to winter fashion. I love feeling warm and cosy, but look like I've made an effort with my outfit. I fell in love with this chunky knit because it looked really warm and also it's my favourite colour - give me dusty pink and I'll wear it! Like the colour of the beret - it was so different in pink and with pearl details that I decided I will regret it if I don't buy it. Beret is a French classic which has made it to my list of essential accessories you must have in your wardrobe. It is perfect for the colder weather and goes with everything!

But the gem of my wardrobe is of course the classic Chanel quilted bag. I love this bag - who wouldn't, it's Chanel! I paired it with the surprisingly comfortable black ankle boots - these are so warm and soft on your feet. It all comes down to being cosy and warm for me, especially in freezing temperatures. Yes, you want to look nice but you need to feel warm too - who's with me?

This outfit captures my three favourite styles with the items I have chosen:

- City Chic: pointed heels, classic statement watch
- Countryside Cosy: chunky sweater
- Classic Parisian: beret, A-line floaty skirt, the Chanel

Mixing styles is all about keeping it simple, matching colours, and telling a story: this outfit is very romance inspired - pink, floaty, gentle. Sticking to a theme will help bring your outfit together.
