Mottisfont is a beautiful walk - we have decided to come back in the spring and summer time as at the moment the rose gardens are looking a little shrivelled, and the riverside walk made our hands and faces freeze. The house hosts some historical artefacts, and a cafe served hot drinks and yummy snacks. There are several places to grab a tea or coffee and light lunch - we escaped the cold and settled with a hot cuppa by a radiator in the stable yard cafe.
I layered up ready to spend the day walking around Mottisfont gardens - currently I'm loving this faux shearling jacket from SheIn, it's so cosy and looks great with jeans and boots as well as sneakers! The inner layer is super soft shaggy fabric which I love, and if you wrap a scarf around the hood like I did during this day you will be extra warm and toasty... Which is exactly what you need when the temperature is 2c!
Although Mottisfont is beautiful all year round, I am looking forward to visiting the flower gardens in the spring and see the estate in bloom!
