I've always loved the combination of monochrome and classic, dainty items with grunge accessories so I have combined the two together in this outfit - hopefully it looks good but you guys will be the judges of that statement! The white silk tunic is from my mum who had it for absoolute years, so the origins of the item will most probably never be discovered as she cannot remember which store it came from. The sleeveless jacket was hunted down in a H&M sale for a bargain £5 and I thought it would look really cute with floral dresses in the summer - I was right! Plus for £5 you can never go wrong.
The Topshop shorts I bought at the Oxford Circus store - the one you need a good half a day to rummage through - and I honestly don't remember what exactly posessed me to buy hot pants which are this short (I never usually wear shorts this length unless they're denim cut offs with a baseball T) but I thought they were really cute, and would look great with opaque tights and a floaty top for a night out look. Now, I think I'm just getting brave enough to wear them on a hot night out, but I think they'll get most wear under mesh dresses teamed with a bralet, and with opaques and baggy cashmere sweaters.
With a look like this, I'd keep makeup heavy on the eyes but pale lips and just a hint of blusher, and hair (mine got soaked in the rain which downpoured halfway through the shoot - just adds to the grunge feel, right?!) should be kept either straight and textured or wavy and big.
LOVE this look. I had some of these shorts for nights out before but they always made me so self concious! xx
