what i'm wearing: jacket H&M // top Zara // jeans Zara // watch Michael Kors
I'm all over retro styles this season - especially nods to Seventies which is just amazing when it come to fashion. I'm also very partial to tweed, owning 2 real tweed jackets and several items which have tweed print, like this blazer. I love heritage inspired looks, and I get to see that a lot in the Hampshire countryside - I wanted to bring these two looks together for a put together, boho seventies academic vibe. Confusing enough? But I think it looks good.
Seventies inspired flared jeans and folksy print top gel well with the heritage tweed element - but because these is already so much going on, I kept accessories to a minimum. I always need to wear a watch because I feel naked without one (I'm also a bit of a time keeping freak, like my life is broken down into time fragments. More on that some other time) and also it's an easy way to accessorise.
I love this outfit for casual day in the office, or a weekend day because it's super comfy but the blazer adds smartness to the whole ensemble. These particular jeans are super long so I have to wear mega heels with them, but if you find a more sensible length then you can get away with Converse which were all the rage back in the Seventies!
Love this outfit and you look beautiful!
