what i'm wearing: dress Dorothy Perkins // boots Primark // fedora hat from the Clothes Show // bag* George at ASDA // watch* Jord
One of the top trends for A/W15 is Victoriana - modern clothing which has been influenced by heritage Victorian styles that have been incorporated via accessories and signature elements. I have loved Victoriana when it appeared on the catwalks but I found it really difficult to find ready to wear pieces from the high street - I don't think this trend was taken on board by many shops.
When I was 16, I worked as a sales assistant for Dorothy Perkins for 3 years which was so much fun - but I think perhaps because I grew so familiar of the brand, I don't tend to visit the stores very often. However, I saw this dress on Lydia Elise Millen's Instagram and she looked so amazing in it that I just had to do it - I totally rushed to my laptop to frantically search for this dress before it sold out.
I love the high neck detail which really brings the Victoriana trend to life - backed up by an embroided style chest and neck. It's a nice creme / off-white colour which is perfect for both A/W and S/S - but I love it with a nice pair of OTK boots and a heritage style fedora hat.
This look is bang on trend and comfortable to wear every day - what do you guys think?
