I did however have my two helpers: the well known and loved Harvey the Bassador, and our new addition to the family Bonnie the Bunny. Both of my boys are rescue - my mum has been rescuing animals since I can remember and I have picked up that habit from her. Remember - adopt, don't buy. There are SO many animals that need a home (one of the top reasons is buying pets as presents - PLEASE STOP people as this is the single worst reason for getting a pet!! What happens after Christmas when your child gets bored?! Or when you realise what a commitment another creature is?! Think before you buy. And if you really want a pet full of personality then go down to your local shelter and fall in love with a special dog/cat/bunny/hamster.) I'm very lucky that my boys had a good life and nothing bad happened to them - as far as I know. Bonnie was rescued by my mum, but ended up staying with me after I was rabbit sitting whilst my family were on holiday because he really came out of his shell with Harvey. He's currently running around the living room as I write this, whilst Harvey is snoozing in his Dog House.
I love the jumper I'm wearing all of this Christmas - it's from Matalan and is so cute! I've already gotten some compliments wearing it from other pet mums. It's so cosy and soft - and I love the sparkly doggie design. This just shows that Christmas jumpers don't have to be tacky - pair a stylish jumper like this one with a pair of skinny jeans and shiny heels - don't forget to turn up your jeans and show off your ankles to help make your legs look longer!
I also added some classic jewellery than sparkles under the light - if you can't get away with bling on Christmas then when can you?!
If you're not really a heel person, you can pair this look with pointed flats - and switch them up for a pair of cosy Uggs for that chilly Winter walk.
I just want to point out that I love the little crown on the dogs head in the jumper motif - it just reminds me of my sassy boys who are clearly kings of the house! Most definitely Harvey - it's his way or the high way, really.
How are you spending your Christmas this year? And have you decorated yet? Because I know some people think this is way too early, but actually A) in the blogger world everything is way too early because Instagram needs to happen, and B) why not make the most of this cosy atmosphere and get the lights up?! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
